To replace your smart card, you will need to go to the place where you purchased it. If you bought the card for public transport, then go to the SE “Transportation Management Office” at 32 Ulitsa Rubinsteina, phone 576-5555; if you purchased your card at a Metro station, go to the cashier’s office. The balance on public transport tickets can be restored at the SE “Transportation Management Office” at 32 Ulitsa Rubinsteina The balance of Standard Transport Passes can be restored at Metro cashier stations.

The currency for the Standard Electronic Ticket is the ruble.

When the passenger acquires the TC for the first time, he or she pays a fee of RUB 55 for the storage medium and adds enough money for at least one ride in public transport.  The passenger cannot deposit more than RUB 15000 onto the card.

Storage mediums sold after 22.07.2011 can be returned within 45 days of purchase.  If the holder presents his or her passport, the cost of the card can be refunded.

  • The passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation or any other identification document. 
  • SNILS State Insurance Certificate
  • Obligatory Medical Insurance Certificate
  • A document confirming the authority of a legal representative on behalf of the applicant (notarized power of attorney).
  • Certificate of taxpayer registration at his place of residence on the territory of the Russian Federation (if the UEC holder wants to receive a key to a qualified electronic signature and a qualified certificate for checking the electronic signature).
  • An application form filled out by the office clerk and signed by the applicant.

Sputnik Smart Card can be used to purchase up to 70 journeys.

Non-cash payments can be made on the website at www.metro.spb.ruwww.ruru.ru,  St. Petersburg Internet Bank.

Payments are made in rubles (a certain number of journeys can be purchased, each journey is worth RUB 28).

The total number of journeys may not exceed 70 stations over a period of 365 days.

Journeys can be used in universal turnstiles over a period of 30 days, and at Metro cashier stations over a period of 365 days.

Sputnik Smart Cards can be returned within 45 days of purchase. If the holder presents his or her passport, the cost of the card can be refunded.
